An ambitious plan to enhance the value of leisure property and reduce the phenomenon of “cold beds
maeva Home, a specialist in holiday rentals between individuals, and Face/B, a start-up specialising in the renovation of tourist accommodation throughout France, are stepping up their partnership, which began more than two years ago. The two players aim to support 500 homeowners by 2024 by offering an innovative, turnkey solution that allows them to renovate their property without the logistical complexity. For them, maeva Home and Face/B take care of everything: design, execution of the work, monitoring and supervision of the site…. up to the delivery and re-letting of the property.
The result of the complementary expertise of the two players, this offer provides a concrete and simplified solution for the (re)marketing of properties and improving the rental yield of accommodation that could not find tenants because of their dilapidation or outdated decoration. It is a response to the phenomenon of “cold beds” which affects many holiday destinations in France, particularly in ski resorts.
As a virtuous solution, the renovation of leisure property in tourist resorts also allows :

“Face/B offers the first turnkey renovation solution entirely dedicated to holiday rentals. We have worked in depth to simplify and streamline the customer journey of a remote renovation. Our offers are adapted to the needs of each owner: advice, management of work and furniture, and are based on the expertise of architects and hoteliers to maximise the impact of the project. A simplified digital pathway with a free estimate of the project, pre-designed collections of styles and 3D projection allow the owner to easily project himself, and above all to control the total budget of the operation. The first renovated flats were delivered in December 2020 in the resorts of Avoriaz and Arc 1950, La Plagne and Chamonix. In 2021, some 20 flats were renovated on the French Riviera and in the Alps. Building on this success, maeva Home is launching a global campaign this year to encourage renovation among all its owner clients whose performance could be significantly improved by renovation, but also in destinations where cold beds represent a brake on the development of tourism.
By 2022, Face/B plans to support around 100 maeva Home owners in their renovation project.
Visit and definition of the right price, creation of the advertisement, distribution of the latter on more than 1,000 partner sites, management of relations with holidaymakers (reservations, payments, travel documents), handing over of the keys and on-site services (tourist taxes, management of cleaning, bed linen, assistance and breakdown services, etc.): maeva Home offers genuine all-in-one management with the presence of on-site teams, the “Smile Generators”, at the service of owners and holidaymakers.
To date, maeva.com distributes more than 10,000 flats and houses for private individuals and, under its maeva Home brand, provides rental management for 3,500 properties, operated on the ground in 21 maeva Home agencies and around one hundred destinations in France.
